Malaysia reports 6 new COVID-19 cases

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia reported six new COVID-19 infections, the Health Ministry said on Saturday, bringing the national total to 9,391.

Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a press statement that four of the new cases are imported and two are local transmissions.

Another 21 cases have been released, bringing the total cured and discharged to 9,113 or 97 percent of all cases.

Of the remaining 150 active cases, five are being held in intensive care and three of those are in need of assisted breathing.

No new deaths have been reported, leaving the total deaths at 128. Enditem
