FRANKFURT, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 257.62 points, or 2.01 percent, to close at 13,100.28 points.
Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.74 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero gained by 3.73 percent and 3.59 percent respectively.
Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Post were the only two losers among the blue chips, falling by 0.87 percent and 0.21 percent respectively.
Volkswagen was the most-traded share with a turnover of 236.68 million euros (279.85 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 1.45 percent to close at 0.736 euros per share on Monday. Enditem
