FRANKFURT, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 268.88 points, or 2.07 percent, to close at 13,237.21 points.
Reinsurance company Munich Re won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.23 percent. Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and multinational software corporation SAP gained by 3.88 percent and 3.06 percent respectively.
Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero, automotive supplier Continental and material manufacturer Covestro were the only three losers among the blue chips, by falling 2.81 percent, 0.53 percent and 0.37 percent respectively.
SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 263.70 million euros (310.45 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 1.34 percent to close at 0.720 euros per share on Wednesday. Enditem
