AMMAN -- A massive explosion rocked a military base in Zarqa Governorate when mortar bombs blew up in a facility affiliated to the army, said Jordanian official.

Preliminary investigations show that the explosion occurred due to a short circuit in the facility where the bombs were stored, said Amjad Adaileh, Jordan's Minister of State for Media Affairs. (Jordan-Amman-Explosion)

MOSCOW -- China and India agreed on Thursday that the border troops of the two sides should continue their dialogue, quickly disengage, maintain proper distance and ease tensions.

LA PAZ -- Bolivia's Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) on Thursday announced a series of measures to ensure citizens will be able to safely cast their votes in the Oct. 18 general elections, amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.

SYDNEY -- Leaders in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW) were in crisis mode on Friday, after proposed legislation to better protect koalas caused a rift in the governing coalition.
