German shares edge up Wednesday

FRANKFURT, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 37.70 points, or 0.29 percent, to close at 13,255.37 points.

European health care company Fresenius SE group won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.39 percent. Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Post rose by 2.00 percent and 1.86 percent respectively.

European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.61 percent. Marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group and multinational chemical firm Linde went down by 1.49 percent and 0.89 percent respectively.

Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 223.31 million euros (265.05 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 0.65 percent to close at 0.725 euros per share on Wednesday. Enditem
