Namibia's COVID-19 cases break 10,000 mark

WINDHOEK, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Namibia on Thursday recorded 114 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the country's cumulative confirmed cases to 10,078.

Namibia's Health Minister Kalumbi Shangula said this means about 0.4 percent of the population has been infected.

"All 14 regions have reported confirmed cases. The central Khomas and west Erongo regions reported the highest number of cases with 4,751 and 3,742 respectively, while Kavango West recorded the lowest number of cases with 8," he said.

Namibia currently has 2,285 active cases, 7,685 recoveries, and 108 deaths. Enditem
