BEIJING, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi Friday held a phone call with Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sandor Pinter.

Zhao said that the two sides should implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, maintain regular strategic communication, improve mechanism for law enforcement cooperation, and deepen cooperation in the fields of counter-terrorism, fugitive repatriation, combating transnational crimes such as telecom network fraud, and Belt and Road security.

The two sides should also cooperate in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, bring more benefits to both countries and peoples, and continuously push forward the development of the China-Hungary comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level, Zhao said.

Pinter thanked China for its support and assistance for Hungary's fight against the pandemic and expressed willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between law enforcement departments of the two sides. Enditem
