MUMBAI -- The death toll from a residential building collapse at Bhiwandi, 38 km west of Mumbai, rose to 35 as rescue operation continued on Wednesday 52 hours after the tragedy.

The casualties include 12 kids while 25 people with multiple injuries have been admitted to hospital after the three-storey building collapsed early on Monday when the residents were asleep. (India-House collapse)

KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia's opposition leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said Wednesday that he has a "strong" majority in the parliament to form a new government.

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen has told the high-level meeting to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the United Nations that multilateralism is crucial to addressing complex global challenges and called on world leaders to pay serious attention to it.

In a video-recorded statement released on Wednesday, Hun Sen said after the devastation of World War II, world leaders stated in the preamble of the UN Charter that the use of "international mechanism for the promotion of economic and social advancement of all peoples" was an essential means of securing peace, upholding human rights and ensuring social progress.
