FRANKFURT, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 113.64 points, or 0.88 percent, to close at 13,042.21 points.
Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement gained the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.79 percent. Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and chemical group BASF added 3.47 percent and 2.73 percent respectively.
European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero, automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and Deutsche Post were the top three losers among the blue chips, falling by 3.27 percent, 0.68 percent and 0.61 percent respectively.
BASF was the most-traded share with a turnover of 285.70 million euros (336.12 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 3.85 percent to close at 0.810 euros per share on Thursday. Enditem
