BUENOS AIRES -- Argentina's President Alberto Fernandez said Thursday he was confident of resolving the substantial debt burden the South American country has with the International Monetary Fund, after the agency granted the previous government a more than 44 billion U.S. dollar bailout.

BRASILIA -- Brazil expects its 2020-2021 grain harvest to beat the record set by the newly completed season by 4.2 percent, according to an initial forecast released Thursday by the state-owned National Supply Company.

HOUSTON -- Hurricane Delta strengthened to a Category 3 storm Thursday afternoon when approaching the U.S. Gulf Coast, National Hurricane Center said.
