German shares close flat Friday

FRANKFURT, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 9.02 points, or 0.07 percent, to close at 13,051.23 points.

European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.67 percent. Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and sportswear and equipment maker Adidas rose by 2.52 percent and 1.88 percent respectively.

Chemical group BASF lost the most among the blue chips, falling 3.78 percent. Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement and automotive supplier Continental went down by 1.83 percent and 1.71 percent respectively.

BASF was the most-traded share with a turnover of 316.20 million euros (372.96 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 2.22 percent to close at 0.792 euros per share on Friday. Enditem
