BEIJING, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

WELLINGTON -- New Zealand reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

The country's total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 remains at 1,515, which is the number reported to the World Health Organization, according to the Ministry of Health.

TEGUCIGALPA -- Honduras on Sunday received a second shipment of two mobile hospitals that arrived by ship from Turkey to treat COVID-19 patients, the government said.

The hospitals left Istanbul on Sept. 5 and made stopovers in Las Palmas, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago and the Dominican Republic before arriving in the Central American country, according to Strategic Investment of Honduras (Invest-H).

LONDON -- Another 12,872 people in Britain have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 603,716, according to official figures released Sunday.

The coronavirus-related deaths rose by 65 to 42,825, the latest data showed.

MAPUTO -- Mozambique registered 157 more cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 10,001, the country's Ministry of Health (MISAU) said in a statement on Sunday.

Since the first infection of COVID-19 was found in late March, it took the country nearly six months to register its first 5,000 cases and only one month to have the second 5,000.

BEIRUT -- Lebanon's number of COVID-19 cases increased on Sunday by 1,010 to 53,568 while the death toll went up by four to 459, the Health Ministry reported.

The Interior Ministry increased the number of villages that must adopt lockdown measures from 111 to 169 amid the fast spread of the virus across Lebanon.

NEW YORK -- The latest COVID-19 test positivity rates in New York State have remained more or less the same as the level in the past days, according to Governor Andrew Cuomo on Sunday.

Such rate in the "Red Zone" focus areas, where the pandemic has been the most severe, was 5.7 percent, and the statewide positivity rate excluding these areas was 0.84 percent on Saturday, the governor tweeted.

RABAT -- Morocco registered 2,563 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, taking the total tally in the North African country to 152,404, the health ministry said in a statement.

It also reported 33 new deaths from the coronavirus, raising the death toll in Morocco to 2,605.

LISBON -- Portugal recorded 1,090 COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total count to 86,664 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, according to an epidemiological bulletin from the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) on Sunday.

The DGS bulletin also showed that the death toll from COVID-19 has risen to 2,080 after 13 more deaths were registered in the same period.

RAMALLAH -- Palestine on Sunday recorded 422 new cases infected with the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the Palestinian territories to 55,556.

Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila said in a press statement that the new cases were reported in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. Enditem
