ULAN BATOR -- Mongolia's foreign trade turnover contracted by 13.9 percent year on year to 9.1 billion U.S. dollars in the first three quarters of the year, according to data released by the country's National Statistical Office (NSO) on Monday.

The export volume dropped 13.4 percent year on year to 5.1 billion dollars in the first three quarters, the NSO said, noting that the country registered a surplus in its foreign trade balance as exports exceeded imports by around 1.2 billion dollars. (Mongolia-Foreign Trade)

SEOUL -- South Korea's export posted a double-digit fall in the first 10 days of this month due to less business days, caused by the traditional Chuseok holiday, customs office data showed Monday.

Export, which accounts for about half of the export-driven economy, amounted to 9.3 billion U.S. dollars during the October 1-10 period, down 28.8 percent from the same period of last year, according to Korea Customs Service. (South Korea-Export)

HANOI -- Vietnam spent over 4.1 billion U.S. dollars on importing automobiles and components for assembly in the first nine months of this year, posting a year-on-year decline of 24.5 percent.

Specifically, the country imported more than 65,800 completely-built automobiles worth approximately 1.5 billion U.S. dollars, down 37.8 percent in volume and 38.4 percent in value, according to the country's Ministry of Industry and Trade on Monday. (Vietnam-Import-Automobile)

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia's stocks finished higher on Monday, with the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) Index up 0.83 point, or 0.13 percent, to close at 659.07 points.

A total of 8,455 shares worth 133.4 million riels (32,495 U.S. dollars) was traded, the CSX said, adding that 72 percent of the traded shares belonged to ACLEDA Bank Plc (ABC) and 20 percent to Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS). Enditem
