Bangladesh FM appointed new chair of Commonwealth Ministerial Group on Guyana

DHAKA, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has been appointed as the new chair of Commonwealth Ministerial Group on Guyana, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

His appointment received a unanimous support in the 7-member group comprising Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Britain, Canada, Guyana, Jamaica, and South Africa.

Bangladesh took over the chairmanship from South Africa, and Momen has chaired his first group meeting in the new capacity. Enditem
