NUR-SULTAN, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- The 12-episode documentary "Salem Kazakhstan" or "Hello Kazakhstan," which focuses on China-Kazakhstan economic cooperation, has been aired on Kazakhstan's Atameken Business TV channel since Oct. 9.

Co-produced by Atameken Business TV channel and China Xinhua News Network Corporation, the documentary was filmed from September 2019 in both countries, including Chinese cities of Hangzhou, Xi'an, Chengdu, Lianyungang and Guangzhou.

It reflects emerging business opportunities in both countries such as e-commerce, information technology and cross-border logistics, highlighting the alignment of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and Kazakhstan's Bright Path new economic policy.

Kanat Sahariyanov, general director of Atameken Business TV channel, said China is very important for Kazakhstan and the two countries have established close ties in many aspects. China's production capacity and artificial intelligence technology are very attractive for the Kazakh economy.

"We hope that the documentary provides a new perspective into the Chinese economy and opens up new prospects for further cooperation," said Sahariyanov.

Danil Moskalenko, project leader of the Kazakh side and TV presenter of the documentary, said that the shooting plan had been interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the two sides had to conduct a new round of communication and consultation. Thanks to bilateral efforts, the documentary has been successfully filmed.

"China's economic scale and innovative infrastructure have shocked me. China is committed to further opening up to the world and establishing friendly relations with all parties. I believe that the Kazakh audience would discover a lot about China through the documentary," Moskalenko said. Enditem
