BRUSSELS -- A pan-European telecoms association has warned against banning Chinese equipment vendors, saying that the consequences would be costs increase and delay of 5G networks deployment.

In a recent statement, the European Competitive Telecommunications Association said it "denounces any bans of Chinese 5G suppliers for geopolitical reasons and emphasizes that such decisions can only be justified on the basis of well-established facts." (Europe-China-Telecoms-Huawei)

HANOI -- Floods, landslides and other natural disasters triggered by downpours have left 90 people dead and 34 others missing in Vietnam's central region over the past two weeks, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control said on Monday.

LA PAZ -- The presidential candidate of Bolivia's Citizen Community party, Carlos Mesa, on Sunday urged voters to go to the polls, await the results patiently and act prudently once the results are out.
