RABAT, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Morocco and Britain on Monday discussed ways to promote interoperability and share experience and expertise between the two armies, official news agency MAP reported.

The discussion came during the meeting between Moroccan Minister Delegate for National Defense Abdellatif Loudyi and Britain's Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa John Lorimer in Morocco's capital Rabat.

The Moroccan-British military cooperation is governed by a framework agreement for military and technical cooperation signed in 1993 as well as a status-of-forces agreement signed in 2013.

Joint military commissions are held annually alternately in Rabat and London to examine the various aspects of military cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries. Enditem
