Al-Burhan welcomes Trump's plan to remove Sudan from state sponsors of terrorism list

KHARTOUM, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chairman of Sudan's Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan on Monday welcomed the plan announced by U.S. President Donald Trump to remove Sudan from the U.S. list of states sponsoring terrorism.

"I would like to express my great appreciation and that of the Sudanese nation to President Donald Trump and the American Administration for taking this constructive step to remove Sudan's name from the list of states sponsors of terrorism," said Al-Burhan in a statement issued by the sovereign council.

Trump said on Monday that he would remove Sudan from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list after Sudan pays 335 million U.S. dollars to American victims. Enditem
