SUZHOU, China, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai SIPG's Yan Junling may miss the rest of the league, as the starting goalkeeper is set to have an eye surgery, the Chinese Super League side confirmed on Wednesday night.

Yan was replaced by Chen Wei after a collision with Bi Jinhao in the first leg game between SIPG and its city rivals Shanghai Greenland Shenhua.

"Yan will receive an eye surgery and need a long time to recover after the diagnosis," read a statement.

The return leg between the two sides is set for on October 23, with the winner advancing into the semifinal. Enditem
