SINGAPORE, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.11 percent, or 2.80 points, to close at 2,528.41.
A total of 1.34 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.01 billion Singapore dollars (about 744.84 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 211 to 202.
The STI index went down 0.12 percent, or 3.03 points, to close at 2,525.61 on Wednesday. Enditem
