LONDON, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.16 percent, or 9.15 points, to close at 5,785.65 points.
Hargreaves Lansdown, a financial service company, soared 4.63 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. International Consolidated Airlines Group and GVC Holdings increased by 4.38 percent and 4.12 percent, respectively.
