RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has been recalled to Brazil's squad for World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Uruguay, the Brazilian Football Confederation said on Friday.

Head coach Tite also named Juventus midfielder Arthur and Real Madrid defender Eder Militao, both of whom missed Brazil's opening South American zone (CONMEBOL) qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru earlier this month.

Vinicius earned his only Brazil cap in September last year, coming on as a 74th-minute substitute in their 1-0 friendly loss to Peru in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old former Flamengo prodigy has begun the season impressively with three goals in four matches so far for Real Madrid.

"He has extraordinary physical attributes," Tite told a virtual news conference on Friday. "If a normal car has five gears, he has six or seven. His acceleration is outstanding."

There was no place in the 23-man squad for Vinicius's Real Madrid teammate Rodrygo while Atletico Madrid defender Felipe and Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes were also dropped.

Brazil will meet Venezuela at Sao Paulo's Morumbi stadium on November 14 and Uruguay at Estadio Centenario in Montevideo three days later.

The five-time world champions currently lead the 10-team CONMEBOL standings after beating Bolivia (5-0) and Peru (4-2) in their first two qualifiers.

The top four teams at the end of the qualifying tournament will earn an automatic berth at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The fifth-ranked side will advance to an intercontinental playoff over two legs.

Following is the Brazil squad:

Goalkeepers: Alisson, Ederson, Weverton

Defenders: Danilo, Gabriel Menino, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Militao, Rodrigo Caio, Renan Lodi, Alex Telles

Midfielders: Casemiro, Fabinho, Arthur, Douglas Luiz, Everton Ribeiro, Philippe Coutinho

Forwards: Neymar, Everton, Gabriel Jesus, Vinicius, Roberto Firmino, Richarlison. Enditem
