ISLAMABAD, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- At least four kids were killed and 35 others including kids were injured when a bomb went off inside a seminary in capital city Peshawar of Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday morning, local media and police said.

Some unknown militants placed an improvised explosive device inside the seminary and detonated it while fleeing, Senior Superintendent of City Police in Peshawar Waqar Ahmad told media.

A large number of students inside the seminary were attending their routine morning classes when the explosion happened inside one of the halls of the institution.

The injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital where a state of emergency has been declared. The hospital's spokesperson said that several of the injured people are in critical condition.

Further investigation into the incident is being made and rescue operation is also underway.

No group or individual has claimed the attack yet. Enditem
