ISTANBUL, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Turkish police detained six people in northwestern Turkey over their suspected links to the Islamic State (IS) militant group, local media reported on Tuesday.
Police launched operations simultaneously in several locations in the province of Kocaeli to capture the suspects, including four foreign nationals, the private Ihlas news agency said.
The nationalities of the foreign suspects were not immediately available.
Various organizational documents, digital materials, and some narcotic drugs were also seized during the raids, according to Ihlas.
At a separate operation conducted earlier in the day in the capital Ankara, police captured seven suspected members of the IS, press reports said.
