SEOUL -- South Korea's industrial production, private consumption and corporate investment rose last month due mainly to an export recovery, statistical office data showed Friday.

The seasonally adjusted production in all industries, which exclude the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector, grew 2.3 percent in September from a month earlier, according to Statistics Korea. (S.Korea-Export-Recovery)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. economic activity grew at a record pace in the third quarter (Q3) after a record decline amid COVID-19 shutdowns, recovering about two-thirds of the ground lost in the first half of year.

ABUJA -- Nigeria's Foreign Ministry on Thursday vowed to ensure that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nigerian candidate for the top position of the World Trade Organization (WTO), takes office despite the hurdles ahead.

BRUSSELS -- The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, a free trade deal between the European Union (EU) and Canada, has helped the two sides in boosting trade and jobs over the past three-odd years, the EU and Canadian leaders said on Thursday.
