ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with visiting U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad in Rawalpindi on Monday and discussed the Afghan peace process, the Pakistani army said.

KABUL -- Anti-government militants' attacks have left at least 31 dead and 24 injured on Monday, as the armed insurgents targeted Kabul University and security personnel elsewhere throughout the day, officials said.

SUVA -- The tropical cyclone season running between November and April has started in the South Pacific region with one to four tropical cyclones being expected to affect some island countries such as Vanuatu and Fiji.
