SANTIAGO, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Former Barcelona and Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has returned to Chile's squad for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Venezuela, the Chilean Football Federation said on Friday.
Bravo, who left Manchester City to join Real Betis in August, missed Chile's first two qualifiers against Uruguay and Colombia with a knee injury.
Head coach Reinaldo Rueda also recalled Jean Beausejour after the Universidad de Chile defender reversed a decision last July to retire from international football.
In addition, Monaco defender Guillermo Maripan and Fiorentina midfielder Erick Pulgar returned from lengthy international absences.
Missing from the 25-man squad were Bayer Leverkusen's Charles Aranguiz and Bologna midfielder Gary Medel, who are recovering from respective Achilles and hamstring injuries.
Chile will meet Peru in Santiago on November 13 and Venezuela in Caracas four days later.
