BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

BERLIN -- Germany's COVID-19 infections increased by 13,363 within one day to a total of 671,868, official data showed on Monday.

The number of deaths related to COVID-19 in the country rose by 63 within one day to a total of 11,352, according to Robert Koch Institute, the federal government agency for disease control and prevention.

NEW DELHI -- India's COVID-19 tally reached 8,553,657 on Monday as 45,903 new cases were registered across the country in the past 24 hours, said the latest data released by the federal health ministry.

With 490 deaths since Sunday morning, the death toll in the country due to the pandemic reached 126,611, showed the ministry's data.

NAIROBI -- Kenya will be welcoming Comoros on Wednesday for the first leg of its 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers with the country hoping to get its bid to make a second successive final off to a strong start.

The match, scheduled to be played at Kasarani on the outskirts of Nairobi, is Kenya's first competitive international game since COVID-19 struck the country in early March.

LOS ANGELES -- The 16th Chinese American Film Festival (CAFF) and Chinese American TV Festival (CATF) was held virtually Sunday due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
