German shares edge up Wednesday

FRANKFURT, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 53.07 points, or 0.40 percent, to close at 13,216.18 points.

Housing association Deutsche Wohnen won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 5.17 percent. Housing association Vonovia and energy group RWE rose by 5.16 percent and 4.72 percent respectively.

Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero lost the most among the blue chips, down by 4.38 percent. Reinsurance company Munich Re and European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero went down by 3.83 percent and 2.01 percent respectively.

Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 396.72 million euros (466.78 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, gained 0.83 percent to close at 0.915 euros per share on Wednesday. Enditem
