RAMALLAH, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Ishtaye said on Monday that Israel continues its plan for building more settlement houses in Palestine.
Ishtaye said during an online meeting of the Palestinian Authority's cabinet that Israel "races time to impose new facts on the ground in the Palestinian territories."
He warned of "the unprecedented dangerous developments" in the Israeli settlement activities in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The prime minister noted that an escalated Israeli plan would go on for 10 weeks to build more housing units, adding that Israel plans to "suffocate neighborhoods in the West Bank and isolate it from East Jerusalem."
Israel occupied the West Bank and East Jerusalem in 1967 and has constructed settlements there. The Palestinians insist that settlement is illegal and violates international law. Enditem
