KIEV, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his retest for COVID-19 was still positive but he felt better, Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported on Thursday.

"My retest, unfortunately, is still positive, but I continue to work every day. This is my job. The only difference is that I work not on Bankova Street, but on Academician Zabolotny Street (where the Feofania hospital is located)," Zelensky said in his blog on Wednesday.

Zelensky said he felt better. "The smells are back today. Strength is returning. The temperature is dropping. The desire to return to live work is rising," he said.

Zelensky and the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, who were both diagnosed with the coronavirus on Nov. 9, are currently in isolated wards at Feofania hospital in Kiev.

According to local media, a communication channel has been set up in Zelensky's ward, allowing him to keep his regular work schedule while under isolation.

A total of 583,510 COVID-19 cases, with 10,369 deaths, have been registered in Ukraine as of Thursday, while 266,479 patients have recovered, according to the country's health ministry. Enditem
