BEIJING, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- The FIS Freestyle and Snowboard Big Air World Cup Beijing has been cancelled as the skiing governing body announced the updates of its World Cup calendar changes on Thursday.

The FIS said its competition schedule has seen many changes in the last few weeks due to both weather-related reasons and the continued spread of the coronavirus.

Postponement or cancellation was inflicted on some competitions in alpine, cross-country, ski jumping, Nordic combined, freestyle and snowboard.

According to the FIS calendar updates, the FIS Freestyle and Snowboard Big Air World Cup Beijing, originally scheduled on November 27 and 28, will not go as planned.

"Should any changes to the current competition calendars be necessary as a result of COVID-19 prevention measures imposed by national and regional governments or due to weather-related problems, they will be announced as any decisions are made," the FIS said in a statement. Enditem
