SINGAPORE, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 1.3 percent, or 36.01 points, to close at 2,813.01.
A total of 2.78 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.52 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.13 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 322 to 125.
The STI index went down 0.42 percent, or 11.59 points, to close at 2,777 on Thursday. Enditem
