KABUL -- At least six people were killed and two dozen others wounded in two explosions and ensuing rocket attacks in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan on Saturday, officials and witnesses said.

Five bodies and 21 wounded in the rocket attacks were transported by the Kabul Ambulance Service to hospitals, the Public Health Ministry's press office told reporters via a text message.

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- An Indian army trooper was killed and another wounded Saturday in an exchange of fire with Pakistani troops on the Line of Control (LoC) dividing Kashmir, officials said.

The two sides exchanged fire, targeting each other's positions on LoC in frontier Rajouri district, about 222 km southwest of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir. (India-Pakistan-Firing)

NEW DELHI -- At least seven people from a family were killed Saturday after a car they were travelling in collided with a dumper truck in the western Indian state of Gujarat, police said.

The accident took place in Patdi area of Surendranagar district, 114 km west of Gandhinagar, the capital city of Gujarat. (India-Road Accident)

WASHINGTON -- The Five Eyes Alliance countries should stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs, which are China's internal affairs, and "turn their eyes to their own governance issues that urgently need addressing," the Chinese embassy in the United States urged Friday.

The embassy spokesperson made the remark in response to a joint statement by Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Britain and the United States about China's decision on the eligibility of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Legislative Council's members.
