RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Fluminense recovered from a goal down to beat Internacional 2-1 away from home in Brazil's Serie A championship on Sunday.

Teenage midfielder Mauricio Magalhaes put the hosts ahead with a 15th-minute strike before Lucca Borges equalized from long range just before the hour mark.

Caio Paulista struck the winner with a cool finish after Marcos Paulo's perfectly weighted through-ball nine minutes from time.

The result at Estadio Beira-Rio in the southern city of Porto Alegre lifted Fluminense to fifth in the 20-team standings, four points behind leaders Atletico Mineiro.

Internacional, who could have taken top spot with a victory, is now fourth, three points off the pace.

Earlier on Sunday, Sao Paulo also missed a chance to lead the standings as they were held to a 1-1 home draw by Vasco da Gama. Meanwhile, Atletico Mineiro moved to the top despite a 2-2 draw at Ceara.

In Rio de Janeiro, Botafogo was left in 19th place following a 2-1 home defeat to Fortaleza. Enditem
