ADDIS ABABA -- The Addis Ababa Police Commission (AAPC) on Monday disclosed 700 individuals have been arrested on suspicion of planning armed attacks in Ethiopia's capital.

In a press statement, the AAPC said around 700 suspected Tigray People's Liberation Army (TPLF) operatives which were planning attacks in various parts of Addis Ababa city have been arrested. (Ethiopia-Attacks)

MOSCOW -- The U.S. pullout from the Treaty on Open Skies, a major international arms control agreement, is regretful, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

BRUSSELS -- The European Union said Monday that it will contribute 183 million euros (about 217.63 million U.S. dollars) to debt relief for 29 of the world's poorest and most vulnerable countries.

The funds, which will be channeled through the IMF's Catastrophe Containment and Relief Trust (CCRT), allow these countries to increase their social, health, and economic spending in response to the COVID-19 crisis, the EU said in a press release. (EU-Debt relief-pandemic)

KIEV -- An U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer has started a journey to the Black Sea for regular patrols as part of a NATO mission, Ukrinform news agency reported Monday.
