FRANKFURT, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 165.47 points, or 1.26 percent, to close at 13,292.44 points.
Automotive supplier Continental won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 6.28 percent. Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and chemical group BASF gained by 5.89 percent and 4.74 percent respectively.
Housing associations Vonovia, Deutsche Wohnen and personal-care company Beiersdorf were the top three losers among the blue chips, by falling 2.39 percent, 2.22 percent and 1.93 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 374.75 million euros (444.64 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 0.76 percent to close at 1.0354 euros per share on Tuesday. Enditem
