CAIRO, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and the visiting Iraqi Defense Minister Juma Inad Saadoun discussed on Thursday advancing the military cooperation between the two countries, according to the presidential office statement.
The talks touched upon the joint exercises and programs for raising the capabilities, Bassam Rady, spokesperson of the presidency said.
He added that the two sides also discussed several Arab and regional issues of common concern.
President al-Sisi stressed that Egypt is keen to cooperate with Iraq in all fields especially the military one in light of the Egyptian policies that support the Iraqi people against all challenges to preserve security and achieve progress and prosperity, Rady added.
Saadoun hailed the success that Egypt has made while the region has been suffering crisis and tensions. Enditem
