BEIJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

LONDON -- London Zoo, one of the British capital's top visitor attractions, is set to re-open when England ends its second national COVID-19 lockdown on Dec. 2, the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), which runs the zoo, has announced.

MINSK -- Belarus reported 1,691 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, taking its total to 133,324, the country's health ministry said.

DHAKA -- Bangladesh reported 1,908 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 36 new deaths on Saturday, bringing its total tally to 460,619 with 6,580 deaths, the Directorate General of Health Services said.

The official data showed that 14,012 samples were tested in the last 24 hours across Bangladesh.

JAKARTA -- Indonesia recorded 5,418 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, raising its total tally to 527,999, with the death toll increasing by 125 to 16,646, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.

According to the ministry, 4,527 more patients were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recoveries to 441,983.

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection reported 84 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, taking its total tally to 6,123.

Of the new confirmed cases, 80 were local ones with 27 having unknown source of infection. The rest were mostly related to a dancing cluster, which has caused over 400 infections so far.

BANGKOK -- Three foreign yachts were on Friday allowed to dock at Phuket in southern Thailand with all crewmembers and passengers undergoing a mandatory test for the COVID-19 and a quarantine procedure, a government official said on Saturday.

Two Malaysian yachts and one Austrian yacht were allowed by Thai authorities to anchor off a pier on the eastern side of the tourist island on condition that none of the crewmembers and passengers be allowed to leave their boat for shore, pending the 14-day quarantine and health safety measures, according to Phuket's acting Marine Department chief Nachapong Pranit.

MOSCOW -- Russia registered 27,100 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking its total to 2,242,633, the country's COVID-19 response center said in a statement Saturday.
