LONDON -- About 2.7 million "vulnerable people" across England will be offered free Vitamin D supplements for the winter, the British government said on Saturday.

MOSCOW -- The second test launch of Russia's Angara-A5 heavy-class carrier rocket from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome is scheduled for December, Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Roscosmos, Russia's space agency, said on Saturday.

ADDIS ABABA -- Chief of Staff of the Ethiopian defense forces, Berhanu Jula, on late Saturday announced that the army controlled Mekelle, Tigray regional state's capital city, where senior Tigray People's Liberation Front leaders are believed to be stationed.

"The Ethiopian National Defence Forces have fully controlled Mekelle city," Jula told reporters on late Saturday.

"The defense forces are now hunting anti-peace forces in and around Mekelle city," the Chief of Staff added. (Ethiopia-Tigray-Military)

ABUJA -- Dozens of Boko Haram militants were killed in a series of airstrikes carried out by the military in Nigeria's northeast region, a military spokesman said on Saturday.

Some hideouts of the terror group were also destroyed in the airstrikes on Friday at the village of Ngwuri Gana, along the Gulumba Gana-Kumshe axis and Tumbuma Baba of the northern state of Borno which shares a border with Lake Chad. (Nigeria-Boko Haram-Attack) Enditem
