BEIJING, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

NEW DELHI -- India's COVID-19 tally reached 9,431,691 on Monday as 38,772 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, according to the latest data from the health ministry.

According to the data, the death toll mounted to 137,139 as 443 patients died since Sunday morning.

WELLINGTON -- New Zealand reported four new cases of COVID-19 in managed isolation and no new community cases on Monday.

One previously reported case has now recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 72. The country's total number of confirmed cases is now 1,700, according to the ministry.

ULAN BATOR -- Mongolia confirmed seven more COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the national tally to 791, according to the country's National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD).

The latest confirmed cases were locally transmitted, said the NCCD in a statement.

HOHHOT -- China's border city of Manzhouli reported three confirmed local COVID-19 cases in the past day, local health authorities said Monday.

The new cases were registered from 7 a.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday in Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Among them, one patient was re-categorized from a previously reported asymptomatic carrier, the regional health commission said.

LOS ANGELES -- U.S. most populous Los Angeles County will impose a lockdown on Monday, urging its 10 million residents to stay home as the three-week "safer at home" order requires.

The mandatory order bans all public and private gatherings of people from different households, exempting religious services and protest. In addition, a 10 p.m.-to-5 a.m. curfew with the exception of essential workers will be imposed. Enditem
