ACCRA, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Four Ghanaian officials have been selected to officiate in the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B tournament scheduled to take place in Benin this weekend, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced here Thursday.

The officials, the GFA said, include a general coordinator, referee instructor, a referee, and an assistant referee.

The 2020 WAFU Zone B tournament, originally scheduled for Togo in November, has now been moved to Benin.

Togo withdrew its candidacy to host the championship due to the spread of the COVID-19 in the country, the Federation of Togolese Football announced last month stressing "the government cannot guarantee the safety of the players and officials of the various teams."

The WAFU tournament is scheduled to take place between Dec. 5 to 20. Enditem
