TOKYO, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Tokyo stocks fell on Friday morning, as market players' confidence was hurt by reports that COVID-19 vaccine dispatch will be halved by Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE this year due to supply chain problems.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average decreased 118.90 points, or 0.44 percent, from Thursday to 26,690.47.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, shed 3.62 points, or 0.20 percent, at 1,771.63.
Air transportation, information and communication and service issues comprised those that decreased the most by the morning break. Enditem
