NEW DELHI, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Indian government has given its assent to the creation of two new senior posts in the hierarchy of the Indian Army, the English daily Hindustan Times reported on Friday.
According to the report, the two new posts are Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Strategy) and the Director General (Information Warfare).
The current Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) General Paramjit Singh is all set to take over as the first DCOAS (Strategy), while it is yet to be decided who would be the first DG (Information Warfare), added the newspaper report.
The creation of the two new posts, as a part of structural reforms in the Indian Army, was envisaged two years ago. Enditem
