Brazil reports 694 more COVID-19 deaths, over 46,800 new cases

SAO PAULO, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Brazil on Friday reported 694 more deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, raising the total fatalities to 175,964.

Tests also detected 46,884 infections in the past 24 hours, bringing Brazil's total caseload to 6,533,968, according to the Health Ministry.

The state of Sao Paulo, the epicenter of the outbreak in the country, has so far registered 42,788 deaths and 1,276,149 cases. Enditem
