TEHRAN, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- The head coach of Iran's Persepolis soccer team said Friday that his men are determined to win this Saturday's game against their South Korean rival in the AFC Champions League final.
"This is a crucial game for both of the teams; both teams reached the final under special conditions and went through very difficult matches," Yahya Golmohammadi said at the pre-match presser on Friday.
"I think our confrontation with Ulsan will be an exciting and spectacular game," Golmohammadi said, adding that "Like us, Ulsan is also fighting for the victory."
"But, we are ready for this match and we have no other choice in the final game, and the only thing we are thinking about is to become the champion," he pointed out.
After reaching the AFC Champions League final for the second time in three years, Persepolis is aiming to end a 27-year continental trophy drought for Iranian clubs, since the now-defunct PAS Tehran lifted the 1992-93 Asian Club Championship trophy.
Persepolis will face their South Korean opponent tomorrow at Doha Al-Janub Stadium. Enditem
