British stocks up 0.57 pct Tuesday

  LONDON, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.57 percent, or 36.84 points, to close at 6453.16 points.

  International Consolidated Airlines Group, an Anglo-Spanish multinational airline holding company, soared 5.80 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. NatWest Group and Barclays increased by 3.55 percent and 3.34 percent, respectively.

  Ocado Group, an online grocer, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.87 percent. Fresnillo, a Mexican-based precious metals mining company, dropped 2.15 percent. AstraZeneca, a multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company, fell 1.51 percent. Enditem
