WASHINGTON -- Four people died as supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump violently occupied the Capitol on Wednesday, according to police of Washington, D.C..

One was shot and killed, the other three died because of medical emergencies amid the violent protests at the Capitol, Metropolitan Police Department Chief Robert Contee said in the evening, adding that 52 people have been arrested. (U.S.-Capital-Protest)

SAN FRANCISCO -- Both Twitter and Facebook removed content from the account of U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday and suspended his account after he continued posting content about the election after protesters stormed the U.S. Capitol.

JAKARTA -- A 6.2-magnitude earthquake jolted central Indonesia early Thursday, but no damage or casualties were reported, and no tsunami warning was issued, officials said.

LIMA -- Peru has signed an agreement with Chinese pharmaceutical firm Sinopharm to acquire its vaccine against COVID-19, with the first 1 million doses to arrive this month, Peruvian President Francisco Sagasti announced Wednesday.

In a nationwide address, Sagasti said Peru's cooperation in Sinopharm phase 3 trials placed the country "in a better position to access vaccines" and to "verify their effectiveness in the national population." (Peru-China-Vaccine) Enditem
