FRANKFURT, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 76.27 points, or 0.55 percent, to close at 13,968.24 points.
Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.93 percent. Deutsche Post and material manufacturer Covestro gained 3.04 percent and 2.85 percent respectively.
European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero, marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group and reinsurance company Munich Re were the top three losers among the blue chips, falling 2.86 percent, 2.32 percent and 1.46 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 332.19 million euros (407.80 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 4.50 percent to close at 1.600 euros per share on Thursday. Enditem
