LONDON, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.24 percent, or 16.30 points, to close at 6,873.26 points.
Hargreaves Lansdown, a financial service company, soared 5.41 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Barratt Developments and Ocado Group increased by 4.50 percent and 4.29 percent, respectively.
